About Red Gate

“The name Red Gate was born out of a passion we’ve had for a long time to help families move onto land of their own. It refers to that red gate you open on an old country road that takes you home. We’ve worked in construction and the real estate sector for quite a few years now and have watched home, land and building prices continue to rise.

In an effort to provide families like yours an affordable housing option, we began researching manufactured housing. We attended trade shows, toured plants and sought out the best manufacturers the SouthEast has to offer in terms of quality. In 2024, we got our Manufactured Home Dealer License. At that time, opening a dealership actually wasn’t on our radar.

Our business started by developing and selling small homesteads in Walker County, which included purchasing a few acres of raw land, developing it out and bringing on a manufactured home. We really enjoyed building these out; learning all the ins and outs of preparing the home site, moving homes on, working with local municipalities and building a great team of subcontractors in the industry along the way. These homesteads acquired a lot of interest, but we were also getting calls from folks who just wanted to buy a manufactured home.

We started to strategize and pray about what this could look like and before you know it, Red Gate Manufactured Homes Sales was in the works. We’re not salesmen, we’re honest people who truly believe in the product. In fact, our family lives in one of our manufactured homes ourselves and we’ve been thrilled with it. It’s just us and our low overhead allows us to keep our mark-ups small, pricing our homes lower than our competitors.
